Support My Work
Hey y’all, thank you so much for checking out my Substack! I am a fully independent journalist, and your support makes my work possible. Here are the available ways to contribute:
Subscribe on Substack
Pros: You can sign up for a monthly fee of $5, or save with an annual fee of $50. In exchange for becoming a paid subscriber, you get access to ad-free videos, my Subscriber chat, and weekly episodes of my exclusive weekly deep-dive series for paid subscribers, ‘SANCTIONED w/ Rachel Blevins’
For an annual fee of $250, you get the title of ‘Founding Member,’ and in addition to all of the perks listed above, you also get your name listed at the end of my videos.
Cons: Substack offers limited options in terms of tiers, and doesn’t have the same kind of interactive polls and other features that Patreon offers (but to each their own)
Subscribe on Patreon
Pros: For a monthly fee of $5, you get access to ad-free videos, my Patreon feed, and weekly episodes of my exclusive weekly deep-dive series for paid subscribers, ‘SANCTIONED w/ Rachel Blevins’
For a monthly fee of $10, you get access to all of the above, along with regular polls and Q&A’s on my Patreon feed.
For a monthly fee of $20, you get all of the above, plus your name listed at the end of my videos.
Cons: The platform has been known to delete creators’ accounts, so censorship is always something I am wary about on Patreon.
Donate on Buy Me a Coffee
Pros: Buy Me a Coffee has the lowest fees and is the easiest way to send a one-time donation. I also have monthly subscription tiers set up at the $5 and $10 level, if you want to support my work on a regular basis, without all of the emails and notifications that can come with Substack and Patreon.
Cons: When it comes to monthly subscriptions, Buy Me a Coffee doesn’t offer the same perks that Patreon does, so I would recommend sticking to one-time donations there!
Donate on Paypal
Pros: It’s an easy way to send a one-time donation
Cons: Paypal has also been known to kick off creators with no warning.
